Discovering Warner Bros. World

In the past we have bought Annual Passes to Yas Waterworld, as we don't have a pool in our compound and going swimming anywhere, even on the beach, always costs money here. We have treated Yas Waterworld as our hang-out spot.
This year we got a bit of a deal on a Three-Park-Pass, and as we are having so many visitors coming, we thought we'd bite the bullet and do it for once. Not that I'm a big fan of roller coasters (anymore), but it's always nice to be able to spend time with your visitors, when they go to these attractions.

So today it was time to finally go discover the brand new Warner Bros. World, the world's first ever Warner Bros. branded indoor theme park which only opened this year in July.

Even though it was a Saturday, it wasn't too crowded, and we didn't wait more than a maximum of a few minutes to do any ride.
It felt a little bit like the "Truman Show" to walk about in the Warner Bros Plaza with the false sky ceiling... Apparently it offers changing skylines, quite a technological wonder.

We started out in Gotham City. The park has six immersive lands with a total of 29 state-of-the-art rides. The first one we tried was the 'Joker Funhouse':

I must admit, the music in here was SO loud that I freaked out for a short moment inside the mirror maze and yelled out to Lucas to come back and get me when I couldn't find my way. It was rather taunting with the super loud music.
After the maze it was a much easier trail of physical and mental challenges (still with way too loud music) until we could escape via a tube slide in the end.

Nathan and the kids went straight on the 'Riddler Revolution'. I wasn't too sure what it was, but was happy I sat out on this one... They were strapped around the edge of a large disc sitting atop a linear roller coaster track, and they rode back and forth, up and down while spinning around... Yuk...

I much better liked when we got into Cartoon Junction and did the 'Ani-Mayhem' ride, shot a laser gun and tried to rack up points. Linnea won.

There was also almost as many restaurants as rides inside the park (if not more actually!), and a never ending supply of souvenir shops selling merchandise. Apparently some of it is unique to this Warner Bros World park, hence pretty special.

We continued through to Bedrock, where the kids went on the 'Bedrock River Adventure'. A flume-ride type of attraction through the world of the Flintstones.

We all went together on the 'Fast and Furry-ous' hanging roller coaster in the Dynamite Gulch part. A super fast roller coaster simulating Wile E Coyote's chase after the roadrunner.

Then it was time for Metropolis.

Many of the rides here use 3D-glasses and had eye-popping visuals and slick sound effects, very technologically impressive.

Of course we also did the 'Scooby-Doo Museum of Mysteries' ride!

Not that we queued for any amount of time today, but they have really done a good job of making all the queuing areas entertaining for all rides. The attention to detail in everything inside the park is amazing and the sets all look great.

Personally I got a bit of sensory overload with the loud music (and loud employees trying to lure you into restaurants and souvernir shops), and it felt a bit dungee because the whole park was rather dark. But we had a few fun hours, and thanks to our Parks Pass, we are looking forward to coming back with guests in the months to come.
